Toyota Tundra Capstone Named WardsAuto 2022 10 Best Interior & UX Winner

The large 14-inch multimedia touchscreen comes standard on Capstone, controlling the new Toyota Audio Multimedia system which has been designed and manufactured by Toyota. The infotainment system delivers a first-class user experience with fast processing, clear visuals and natural-sounding, intuitive touchscreen controls.
With the smart assistant available through Drive Connect*, simple phrases like “Hey Toyota” wake the system for voice commands such as directions, points of interest (POI), adjust audio controls, change the temperature of the cabin or even small tasks like wiper cycles. to remove dew from the driver’s field of vision. Cloud-based navigation, offered through Drive Connect, enables real-time live updates for mapping and POIs, and Google POI data is integrated to ensure searchability at day. The new system also supports standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility.
The new Toyota Audio Multimedia enables simultaneous Bluetooth connectivity for two phones. A Wi-Fi Connect subscription provides LTE connectivity for up to five devices, effectively turning Tundra into an AT&T* hotspot as well as the ability to link your separate Apple Music® and in-vehicle Amazon Music subscriptions with integrated streaming. The Tundra Capstone completes the hearing experience with a 12-speaker JBL Premium Audio system.

The 2022 Toyota Tundra was the first Toyota model to include this all-new Toyota Audio Multimedia system. It began to proliferate into a handful of other models, with screen sizes ranging from 8.0 to 14.0 inches diagonally.
Helping Tundra Capstone earn its spot on the “2022 Neighborhoods Top 10 Interior & UX List” are new features and creature comforts, including a power tilt/slide panoramic roof with power sunshade, front seats and heated and ventilated rears, a two-tone white- and black interior with dark American walnut wood trim, heated steering wheel and much more. The Tundra Capstone is the first North American Toyota vehicle to feature semi-aniline leather, usually reserved for flagship luxury sedans.
“Capstone is our answer to cater to customers who prefer an ultra-premium, highly crafted experience in their trucks,” said Kevin Hunter, president of Calty Design Research. “The interior features sophisticated materials and high-level craftsmanship, with Capstone’s unique white and black select leather treatment, as well as modern, ultra-premium custom seat perforation. The Horizontal Beam bold of the dashboard is genuine open-pore walnut, which contrasts, and compliments with a rich, authentic wood tone.
