Samsung Galaxy A22 starts receiving Android 12 update

NEW DELHI: Samsung has a habit of rolling out timely Android updates for its smartphones. The company recently rolled out the Android 12 update for its Galaxy A32 smartphone and now another Galaxy A series smartphone from the company has started receiving the Android 12 update.

According to a report from SamMobile, Samsung has started rolling out the Android 12 update for its Galaxy A22 smartphone. Currently available for users in Russia, the software update also brings the April 2022 security patch. The update comes with firmware version A225FXXU3BVD8. The company claims that the update will fix 88 security issues.
Along with the Android 12 update, Galaxy A22 users will also receive the Samsung One UI 4.1 update.
With One UI 4.0, users will get improved stock apps, Material You dynamic color themes, lock screen widgets, dedicated quick settings toggles to disable camera and microphone access, and new designs of widgets. The update is also supposed to improve device security and privacy.
Samsung Galaxy A22 Features
The Samsung Galaxy A22 has a 6.4-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The smartphone packs a MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB/6GB of RAM.
The smartphone offers 64GB/128GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 256GB by installing a microSD card.
The dual-SIM smartphone came out of the box with the Android 11 operating system topped with Samsung’s own layer of customization. The Samsung Galaxy A22 comes with a quad rear camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor, and 2MP macro sensor.
There’s also a 13MP selfie shooter on the front. The smartphone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
