ROKT APPOINTS FORMER AMAZON EXECUTIVE BILL BARTON AS CHIEF PRODUCT AND ENGINEER TO LEAD ALL R&D
NEW YORK, June 22, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Rokt, the leading e-commerce technology using machine learning to make transactions more relevant to every shopper, today announced that it has named Bill Barton as Chief Product and Engineering Officer, effective June 27, 2022. In this newly created role, Barton will report directly to the CEO Bruce Buchanan and will lead the company’s R&D organization. With over 35 years of product and engineering experience at companies including Amazon, Nokia and Microsoft, Barton has a proven track record of building high performing teams across a range of hardware and software disciplines.

Barton is a seasoned, hands-on product development manager with expertise spanning mobile advertising; multimedia communications; speech, audio and voice; IP systems and switched networks; mobile and wireless systems; web applications; interactive advertising; and the development of algorithms. He most recently served as Vice President, Alexa Proactive Experience at Amazon, where he spent the past 10 years building and leading teams that developed Alexa’s spoken language awareness and comprehension capabilities. Previous roles include director of product development at NAVTEQ, director of product development at Nokia Location & Commerce, vice president of engineering at Revolabs, senior vice president of engineering at Unveil Technologies (acquired by Microsoft ) and Vice President of Engineering at Voice Signal Technologies. Barton holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Harvard University.
