Nesbitt maintains 100% vote record until 2021
LANSING, Michigan – State Senator Aric Nesbitt was in attendance for each of the Michigan Senate’s 494 roll-call votes in 2021, according to the Mackinac Center for Public Policy monitoring site MichiganVotes.org.
“I was elected to do a job; it is my duty to introduce myself, ”said Nesbitt, R-Lawton. “I am grateful every day that I can serve as a voice in the State Senate for the people of the 26th District; it is a responsibility that is close to my heart.
“I remain committed to maintaining my perfect voting record until 2022 as well. The last few years have been very difficult for the people of our state. There is a lot of work to be done as we continue to heal from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and build a healthier economy and a healthier future for our families and communities. “
Nesbitt’s perfect voting record in 2021 marks nine consecutive years without missing a vote as state lawmaker. He began representing the 26th Senate District in 2019 after serving three terms in the State House from 2011 to 2017; he was present for each of the 5,619 votes cast during his term in the legislature.
Nesbitt was one of 14 senators who did not miss a vote in 2021; a complete dossier is available at www.MichiganVotes.org/MissedVotes.aspx.
“The people in my district work hard every day to improve their quality of life, that of their families and their neighbors,” said Nesbitt. “They deserve the same dedication from me as one of their chosen ones.”
