Epic has announced the next batch of free games coming to its store, with next week’s offerings looking a lot like Dead by Daylight and While True: learn ().
Dead by Daylight, if you’re not familiar, is the hugely popular 4v1 asymmetric horror game from developer Behavior Interactive, which pits a team of four survivors against a bloodthirsty killer as they attempt to escape and to escape.
In the five years since Dead by Daylight’s release, it’s received a mountain of DLC, including a whole slew of iconic killers from some of the most beloved horror franchises in film and gaming, including Freddy. Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street, Michael Myers from Halloween, Pinhead from Hellraiser, Ghost Face from Scream, Pyramid Head from Silent Hill, and more.
Behavior Interactive says all currently released DLC will be available for purchase alongside the base game of Dead by Daylight when it debuts on the Epic Games Store next week. It also notes that the Epic version will support cross-platform play and progression with all other editions.
Those looking for something a little less deadly will also have the option to download While True: learn () for free next week. Its developer, Luden.io, describes it as a puzzle / simulation game about “machine learning, neural networks, big data and AI” in which players, in the role of an encoder, “have to learn everything there is to know about machine learning. and use visual programming to create a cat-to-human voice recognition system. “
Dead by Daylight and While True: learn () will be free to add to your Epic Games Store library starting Thursday, December 2, and will remain free until December 9.
