Boxer Soccer earns tie against Puget Sound


FOREST GROVE, Oregon. – The Pacific picked up its first Northwest Conference point on Friday night with a 1-1 draw against Puget Sound.

The contest was close for the full 90 minutes, with the hosts registering nine shots in total while the visitors registered eight. The penalty shootout counts in favor of the Loggers 6-4, however.

How did it happen

The Loggers gained much of the possession from the opening kick as they registered a corner and a shot in the opening 11 minutes. 13e minute was when the visitors were finally able to score a goal when they scored from a Graham Hall penalty kick.

The boxers from there were able to play even for the remainder of the half registering three shots in the remaining 32 minutes. This play from the offensive end gave the Boxers a change of momentum before the halftime break.

In the first 11 minutes, the Boxers put significant pressure on the Loggers back line registering three shots including two on the frame. Finally, the Boxers were able to convert when Lara scored his goal from the Jayden Adkison to help.

What this means

The Pacific conference record goes to 0-4-1 while their overall record goes to 0-7-2. The Boxers have now recorded their first NWC point for the 2022 season.


The Boxers will host Pacific Lutheran on Sunday, October 2n/a while a kick-off scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
