If you are a barbeque lover, you’re in for a special treat. Q2U BBQ Pit and Catering is owned and operated by the award winning competition barbeque team and Lake Wylie residents Mark and Renée Cieslikowski and Brian and Linda Rich.
In operation since 2009, the Q2U BBQ Pit is located just a few miles south of Charlotte, right over the Buster Boyd Bridge in Lake Wylie, South Carolina. Patrons come from near and far to experience down home cooking and the friendly, comfortable, casual atmosphere.
They make and bottle their own line of sauces and rubs, which sell at the restaurant and on their website. Their original vinegar based or “Carolina” sauce was just named the official sauce of the Democratic National Convention. They also make a thick and sweet tomato sauce, a hot spicy vinegar sauce and a mustard sauce.
Open four days a week, Wednesday through Saturday, the restaurant also serves as the base for their highly successful catering operation — offering a full catering menu for events such as wedding rehearsals, weddings, graduation parties and corporate picnics.
One word comes to mind when you are looking for a fun, highly social, outdoor meal with all the comfort and flavor of the ultimate comfort food: barbecue. Having BBQ catered for your special event is a classic way to bring people together. In fact, you don’t even need to have a real reason to have a BBQ.
That being said, there are a number of occasions that could use the hearty touch of a good ol’ barbecue. Take for example a wedding rehearsal. These things don’t have to be confined to a stuffy, rented out function room at a hotel. Why not make it a total contrast to the formalness of the actual wedding and throw a garden barbecue? The more casual, come-as-you-are vibe is sure to ease a lot of pre-wedding jitters and place guests from both the bride’s and groom’s side in a light, social mood.
You might not be open to the idea at first, but a barbecue would be an excellent addition to a wedding reception – if done in good taste. As part of the buffet, guests can line up to enjoy burgers, ribs, beef brisket, pulled pork or chicken, or any of our other succulent options. Over cocktails, while waiting for the bride and groom to join the party, guests can snack on hotdogs or sausage chunks fresh off the smoker. And what kind of tuxedo-clad man will say no to our mouth-watering Black Angus Ribeye?
Another occasion that would go well with a barbecue is a graduation party. It is a super casual, low-cost way to make sure everyone enjoys the food, and good news to all the fresh-graduates: All barbecued food tastes great with beer!
A barbecue will do wonders for the next corporate event too. The organizers can pick an ideal location and we’ll do the rest. Most common corporate catering events consist of hotel food or hors d’oeuvres that have been sitting out. Nothing bonds people together like BBQ a few six packs! With enough food and beer you’re bound to make closer friends and colleagues.
One last idea of a BBQ occasion is practically a given: tailgates. This ultra casual setup practically screams barbecue because people will gorge on beer on the back of their pickups, vans and RVs anyway, to deprive them of freshly-cooked, smoky meat would just be mean.
Having BBQ Catering adds to any event. No matter how sophisticated or casual, people will get their fill and be happy campers with our amazing selection of award winning BBQ. Take the hassle out of throwing an epic barbecue and leave it up to BBQ Catering Charlotte.
